Governance Purpose Statement

Governance at LMQ exists to provide strong, independent oversight that ensures our qualifications are credible, fair, and aligned with the needs of learners, centres, employers, and global education partners. Our governance arrangements establish clear accountability, transparent decision making, and ethical leadership across all areas of the organisation.

The Governance Board plays a central role in safeguarding the integrity of LMQ’s qualifications by offering strategic direction, expert challenge, and informed scrutiny. This includes oversight of organisational performance, qualification development, risk management, and the continuous improvement of quality and standards. Through this structure, LMQ maintains a clear separation between strategic oversight, operational delivery, and quality assurance, ensuring that decisions are made independently and in the best interests of learners and centres.

Our governance purpose is also rooted in a commitment to public confidence. We work to ensure that every qualification we offer is rigorous, relevant, and delivered with integrity. By embedding recognised principles of good regulation, ethical practice, and responsible leadership, LMQ’s governance framework supports a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
